Metalia Beach

Outside the settlement of Limenaria, in southern Thassos, is Metallia beach. A sandy beach, right next to the old iron processing plant, with blast furnaces visible from the beach. On this beach the sand is white, a unique phenomenon of originality and beauty, while the surrounding area is covered with black metal, giving the feeling of a natural work of art. It is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds and ideal for families with children, as the sea is very shallow. It is really worth visiting, as the landscape is quirky and very picturesque.
